Al-Najm 3 of 3
Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
