The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 In shade long-extended, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
