Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
