Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 and the smooth runners 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
