Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 while you make merry? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
