Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
