The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
