Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 And behold, in Our sight they were indeed among the elect, the truly good! 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 wherein they shall recline, wherein they shall ask for abundant fruit and drinks, 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Gehenna, wherein they are roasted - an evil cradling! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 Taste the scalding water, pus, and other putrid things". 58 (Observing their followers advancing to Hell they will say, among themselves: “This is a troop rushing in to you. There is no welcome for them. They are destined to roast in the Fire.” 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?" 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
