۞ And when the son of Mary is cited as an example, behold, thy people turn away from it 57 And say: "Are our aliha (gods) better or is he ['Iesa (Jesus)]?" They quoted not the above example except for argument. Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people. [(See VV. 21:97-101) - The Quran.] 58 He is naught but a bondman: him We favoured, and him We made an ensample unto the Children of Israil. 59 if We had so wished, We could have appointed angels in exchange for you to succeed you on the earth. 60 And most surely it is a knowledge of the hour, therefore have no doubt about it and follow me: this is the right path. 61 Let not Satan hinder you (from believing in the Hour), for surely he is your open enemy. 62 When Jesus came with clear proof (in support of his truthfulness), he said, "I have come to you with wisdom to clarify for you some of the matters in which you have disputes. Have fear of God and obey me. 63 God is your Lord and my Lord, so worship Him. This is the right path". 64 But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong-doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day! 65 They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. 66 On that Day close friends shall become enemies of each other, except those who fear (Allah). 67
