No! By the moon 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to humans, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 except those of the right hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
