The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
