The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the (Day) of Noise and Clamour? 2 And what will make you comprehend what the terrible calamity is? 3 The day that men shall be like scattered moths, 4 The mountains like the tufts of carded wool. 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 He shall be in a life well-pleasing. 7 but he whose deeds weigh light in the Balance 8 shall plunge in the womb of the Pit. 9 Ah, what will convey unto thee what she is! - 10 (It is) a hot blazing Fire! 11
