Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 Some faces will on that Day be downcast, 2 toiling [under burdens of sin,] worn out [by fear,] 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 and couches raised high, 13 And goblets set at hand 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their turning back, 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
