T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
