Samood rejected the warning. 23 And said: "Should we follow only one man among us? In that case we shall be in error and insane." 24 How is it that he has received guidance? In fact, he is the most untruthfull and arrogant person". 25 [We said to him] "Tomorrow they shall know who is the boastful liar, 26 Verily We are sending the she-camel as a test for them, so watch them thou and have patience. 27 And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn]. 28 But they called their commander, who seized and hamstrung her. 29 Then see how (dreadful) was My punishment after My warnings! 30 We loosed against them one Cry, and they were as the wattles of a pen-builder. 31 And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to memorise, so is there one who would remember? 32 The nation of Lot belied Our warnings. 33 We sent a stone-hurtling storm against them, except the family of Lot whom We saved in the early hours of the morning 34 a blessing from Us; even so We recompense him who is thankful. 35 And (Lut) did warn them of Our Punishment, but they disputed about the Warning. 36 They demanded that he turn over his guests to them. We struck their faces, blinded them and said, "Suffer Our torment of which you were warned". 37 And certainly a lasting chastisement overtook them in the morning. 38 So taste My chastisement and My warning. 39 We have made it easy indeed to learn lessons from the Quran. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
