In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the day of decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 until an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
