Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
