Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury? 83 Therefore be not in haste against them, We only number out to them a number (of days). 84 The day We shall gather the righteous to (Allah) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours, 85 and We shall drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell. 86 They will have no power of intercession, save him who hath made a covenant with his Lord. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Certainly you have made an abominable assertion 89 At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, 90 that they have attributed to the All-merciful a son; 91 The Beneficent God is too Exalted to have a son. 92 All those who are in the heavens and the earth will come to the Most Gracious as His bondmen. 93 He has counted and enumerated them one by one. 94 And each one of them will come unto Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Indeed, the Most Compassionate Lord will soon create enduring love for those who believe and do righteous works. 96 We have made it easy in your own tongue in order that you proclaim the glad tidings to the cautious and give warning to a stubborn nation. 97 And many a generation We did destroy before them; do you see any one of them or hear their faintest sound? 98
