And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
