Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
