And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 #NAME? 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ They will have bashful wives of equal age with them. 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 This, [then, for them] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness 57 and other sufferings of the kind. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 Have we taken them in mockery? Or, have our eyes swerved from them?' 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
