Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
