Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the midday brightness 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
