The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
