And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
