The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and obeys its Lord as it must, 2 And when the earth is flattened out, 3 and casts out all that is within it and becomes empty; 4 And obeys its Lord and it must. 5 O man! surely you must strive (to attain) to your Lord, a hard striving until you meet Him. 6 Then, he who is given his Book in his right hand 7 shall be called to an easy accounting, 8 and he shall return to his people, joyfully, 9 And as to him who is given his book behind his back, 10 he shall call for destruction 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 Verily he imagined that he would not be back. 14 But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. 15 I swear by the glow of sunset, 16 or by the night in which things all come together to rest, 17 by the moon, in its fullness 18 you will progress from stage to stage. 19 So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, 20 And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; 22 and God knows very well what they are secreting. 23 So give them tidings of a painful punishment, 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
