Al-Baqarah 19 of 40
Believers, help yourselves (in your affairs) through patience and prayer; God is with those who have patience. 153 Do not say that those killed in the Way of Allah are dead, they are alive, although you are unaware. 154 Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, 155 and in difficulty say, "We are the servants of God and to Him we shall all return". 156 Those are they on whom are blessings and mercy from their Lord, and those are the followers of the right course. 157 ۞ Truly Safa and Marwa are the symbols of God. Whoever goes on pilgrimage to the House (of God), or on a holy visit, is not guilty of wrong if he walk around them; and he who does good of his own accord will find appreciation with God who knows everything. 158 Indeed Allah curses, and the cursers, too, curse those who conceal the clear teachings and guidance We have sent down, after We have made these plain in the Book for the guidance of all mankind. 159 except those who repent, and mend (their deeds) and clarify. Those I shall accept them. I am the Receiver of repentance, the Most Merciful. 160 Lo! Those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers; on them is the curse of Allah and of angels and of men combined. 161 Their punishment shall not be lightened, nor shall they be reprieved. 162 And the God of you all is one God; there is no God but He, the Compassionate, the Merciful. 163

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
