The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 Thereupon We saved him and all his household 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
