Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By Qaf and the glorious Quran, (you are the Messenger of God). 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth! We have spread it forth, and have cast therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of every beauteous kind of plants: 7 thus offering an insight and a reminder unto every human being who willingly turns unto God. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
