The assembly of Pharaoh's nation said: 'This man is a wellversed sorcerer 109 “He wishes to expel you all from your kingdom; so what do you advise?” 110 They said: "Put him and his brother off (for a time), and send callers (men) to the cities to collect (and) - 111 to bring together at the Pharaohs court all the skillful magicians. 112 And the enchanters came to Firon (and) said: We must surely have a reward if we are the prevailing ones. 113 "Yes," said he, "you will be among the honoured." 114 They said: O Moses! Either throw (first) or let us be the first throwers? 115 He said: Cast. So when they cast, they deceived the people's eyes and frightened them, and they produced a mighty enchantment. 116 And [then] We inspired Moses, "Throw down thy staff!" - and lo! it swallowed up all their deceptions: 117 ۞ Thus truth was confirmed, and all that they did was made of no effect. 118 And thus were they vanquished there and then, and became utterly humiliated. 119 and the magicians flung themselves prostrate, 120 saying: 'We believe in the Lord of the Worlds, 121 The Lord of Moses and Aaron." 122 The Pharaoh said to the magicians, "You declared your belief in him (Moses) without my permission. This is a plot to throw my people out of their city. But you will soon know. 123 I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides; then I will surely crucify you all." 124 They replied, "We shall surely return to our Lord. 125 "And you take vengeance on us only because we believed in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.) of our Lord when they reached us! Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us to die as Muslims." 126

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
