When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease said: Their religion has deceived them; and whoever trusts in Allah, then surely Allah is Mighty, Wise. 49 If you could see the angels when they carry off the souls of the unbelievers, beating their faces and their backs, saying: 'Taste the punishment of Burning! 50 “This is the recompense of what your own hands have sent ahead, and Allah does not oppress His bondmen.” 51 Similar to the behaviour of the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and of those before them; they rejected the Ayat (proofs, verses, etc.) of Allah, so Allah punished them for their sins. Verily, Allah is All-Strong, Severe in punishment. 52 This is because Allah has never changed a favor which He has conferred upon a people until they change their own condition; and because Allah is Hearing, Knowing; 53 This was the case with the people of Pharaoh and those before them, who rejected the signs of their Lord and were destroyed for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh as they were oppressors. 54 Surely the worst of beasts in God's sight are the unbelievers, who will not believe, 55 those with whom you have made a covenant, and who break their covenant on every occasion and have no fear [of God]. 56 if thou find them at war [with you,] make of them a fearsome example for those who follow them, so that they might take it to heart; 57 If you are afraid of the treachery of some of your allies, you may disregard your treaty with them. God does not love the treacherous ones. 58
