The unbelievers have said, "Shall we and our fathers be brought out of the graves after we become dust? 67 We have been promised this, and our fathers before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 And surely your Lord is the Lord of grace to men, but most of them are not grateful. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 There is nothing that is hidden - be it in the heaven or the earth - but is recorded in a Clear Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 It is a guidance and grace for those who believe. 77 Verily, [O believer,] thy Sustainer will judge between them in His wisdom - for He alone is almighty, all-knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah]. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
