And when Abraham said: 'My Lord, make this a land secure. Turn me and my children away from worshipping idols. 35 “O my Lord! The idols have led many people astray; so whoever followed me, is indeed mine; and whoever disobeyed me – then indeed You are Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” 36 O our Lord! surely I have settled a part of my offspring in a valley unproductive of fruit near Thy Sacred House, our Lord! that they may keep up prayer; therefore make the hearts of some people yearn towards them and provide them with fruits; haply they may be grateful: 37 Our Lord! Surely You know all that we conceal and all that we reveal, and nothing in the earth or in the heaven is hidden from Allah. 38 It is only God who deserves all praise. I praise Him for His giving me my sons Ishmael and Isaac during my old age. My Lord, certainly, hears all prayers. 39 Lord, make me and my offspring steadfast in prayer and accept our worship. 40 Our Lord! forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day whereon will be set up the reckoning. 41
