Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 and the severally severing 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
