Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when souls are united, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
