The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 And leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are froward folk. 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
