And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat. 33 And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs - 34 So that they may eat from its fruits, whereas they are not manufactured by their hands! So will they not be grateful? 35 Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge. 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 how We ordained the moon to pass through certain phases until it seems eventually to be like a bent twig; 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit. 40 And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; 41 and created for them similar things to ride. 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 except Our mercy which could enable them to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. 44 And when it is said to them: Guard against what is before you and what is behind you, that mercy may be had on you. 45 Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom. 46 And when it is said unto them: expend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: shall we feed those whom God Himself would have fed, if He listed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 And they say: when will this promise be fulfilled if ye say sooth? 48 They must be waiting for but one single blast, which will overtake them while they are still disputing. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
