The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
