The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 For all their deeds. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
