Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
