And recall what time Allah took a bond from the prophets saying whatever I vouchsafed unto you of Book and Wisdom, and, thereafter there cometh unto you an apostle confessing to that which is with you, ye shall surely believe in him and succour him. He said: assent ye, and take ye My burthen thereunto? They said: we assent. He said: then bear witness, and I am, with you among the witnesses. 81 Then any one who turns away will be a transgressor." 82 So is it other than the religion of Allah they desire, while to Him have submitted [all] those within the heavens and earth, willingly or by compulsion, and to Him they will be returned? 83 Say, “We believe in Allah and what is sent down to us and what was sent down to Ibrahim, and Ismael, and Ishaq, and Yaqub (Jacob) and their sons, and that which came to Moosa and Eisa and the Prophets, from their Lord; we do not make any distinction, in belief, between any of them, and to Him we have submitted ourselves.” 84 He who chooses a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Everlasting Life he will be among the losers. 85 Why should Allah will guidance for the people who disbelieved, after their having accepted faith and bearing witness that the Noble Messenger is a true one, and after clear signs had come to them? And Allah does not guide the unjust. 86 Their requital shall be rejection by God, and by the angels, and by all [righteous] men. 87 In that will they dwell; nor will their penalty be lightened, nor respite be (their lot);- 88 But those who repent and reform, God is surely forgiving and merciful. 89 Those who deny, having once come to faith, and persist in denial, will not have their repentance accepted, for they have gone astray. 90 Verily, as for those who are bent on denying the truth and die as deniers of the truth - not all the gold on earth could ever be their ransom. It is they for whom grievous suffering is in store; and they shall have none to succour them. 91
