By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 In Gardens they will question 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
