The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 and gathered his people together 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
