The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This is the exalted Book (the Qur’an), in which there is no place for doubt; a guidance for the pious. 2 Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them. 3 Who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed to those before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 It is the pious who follow the guidance of their Lord and gain lasting happiness. 5 Those who disbelieve, whether you forewarn them or not, they will not believe. 6 Allah has sealed up their hearts and ears and a covering has fallen over their eyes, and they have incurred the severest punishment. 7
