Alshu'araa' 6 of 11

The people of Noah accused the apostles of lies. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 I am naught but a warner manifest. 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will be stoned." 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
