Nay, and by the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 except the people of the right hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 about the sinners. 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 we fed not the needy, 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until death approached us". 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
