VERILY, [O believer,] it is We who have bestowed from on high this Qur'an upon thee, step by step - truly a bestowal from on high! 23 Therefore be patient with constancy to the Command of thy Lord, and hearken not to the sinner or the ingrate among them. 24 And glorify the name of your Lord morning and evening. 25 and part of the night; bow down before Him and magnify Him through the long night. 26 As to these, they love the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard. 27 [They will not admit to themselves that] it We who have created them and strengthened their make - and [that] if it be Our will We can replace them entirely with others of their kind. 28 Indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his Lord a way. 29 But you cannot will it unless God wills [to show you that way] -- God is indeed all-knowing and wise -- 30 He admits to His Mercy whomsoever He pleases. As for the wrong-doers, He has prepared for them a grievous chastisement. 31
