The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the morning brightness 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
