Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
