Thamood cried lies to the Envoys 141 when their brother Salih said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 142 I am a trustworthy Messengers sent to you. 143 So fear Allah, and obey me. 144 I ask of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 145 Do you think that you will be left secure [forever] -- 146 among gardens and fountains, 147 sown fields and palmtrees, with slender spathes. 148 "And ye carve houses out of (rocky) mountains with great skill. 149 Have fear of God and obey me. 150 And do not obey the order of the transgressors, 151 "Who make mischief in the land, and reform not." 152 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 153 You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful." 154 He said, 'This is a she-camel; to her a draught and to you a draught, on a day appointed, 155 Do not molest her lest the chastisement of an Awesome Day should seize you." 156 But they hamstrung her; and on the morrow were repentant, 157 and torment struck them. In this there is evidence of the Truth, yet many people do not have any faith. 158 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 159

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
